Cross Link Project “Support Family Business-SFaB” co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme

In the context of the Erasmus+ Programme, another project related to Family Business is being cofounded and is presented below. 

The “Support Family Business-SFaB” is a two-year project on Family Business, co-funded by the European Union under the ERASMUS+ KA220-VET – Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training.  

The consortium consists of seven partners from 6 EU countries: 

  • The University Of Aegean, Greece (Project Coordinator) 
  • Research Innovation And Development Lab Private Company,Greece (Project Partner) 
  • Interprofessionnelle Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France (Project Partner) 
  • Domspain Slu, Spain  (Project Partner) 
  • Best Institut Fur Berufsbezogene Weiterbildung Und Personaltraining Gmbh, Austria  (Project Partner) 
  • Chamber Of Commerce And Industry Vratsa Sdruzhenie, Bulgaria  (Project Partner) 
  • CANDIDE International, Belgium (Project Partner) 

The project aims to spread knowledge and foster skills among family business owners and employees within the European Union, regarding the unique characteristics of their businesses.  

In doing so, the SFaB consortium has developed an innovative VET course that is available in English, Greek, Spanish, French, Bulgarian, and German on the following link. The Course consists of five modules that cover the following topics: 

  1. FAMILY BUSINESS & SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS 
  2. SUCCESSION 
  3. THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN THE FAMILY BUSINESS, 
  4. CORPORATE GOVERNANCE & FAMILY GOVERNANCE MECHANISMS (FGM) 
  5. And FAMILY BUSINESS STRATEGY. 

Moreover, the SFaB Toolkit was created and includes good practices of family businesses from all partner organisation countries. The Toolkit is available on the SFaB website at the following link
